Ramya Sanath Amaraweera Wickramasingha, Chairman of Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL) Group, has passed away, the company announced, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of its long-serving leader.
In a statement, the CBL Group described Wickramasingha as a visionary who dedicated his life not only to building a successful business empire but also to fostering a culture rooted in care, integrity, and innovation. The company said that under his leadership, Sri Lanka gained greater international recognition, while his kindness and humility left a lasting impact on those who worked with him.
“He dedicated his life to building not only a company but a community rooted in care, integrity, and innovation. His vision placed Sri Lanka on the global map, while his kindness and humanity touched the lives of all who knew him,” the statement said.
The group added that he was more than a corporate leader, describing him as a mentor, father figure, and a source of inspiration to employees across the organisation.
While acknowledging his passing as a significant loss, the company said his values and principles would continue to guide its future direction.
“His memory remains forever cherished, and may we carry forward his legacy with love and pride,” the statement added.
